Yes, I know that Starbucks coffee is overpriced and a waste of money. Doesn't change the fact that I like to have a Mocha every now and then. The side of the cup always includes a quote, called "The Way I See It" Here it is"
I used to think that going to the jungle made my life an adventure. However, after years of unusual work in exotic places, I realize that it is not how far off I go or how deep into the forest I walk that gives my life meaning. I see that living life fully is what makes life-anyone's life, no matter where they do or do not go-an adventure. Maria Fadiman
So, living life fully is what makes life an adventure. Is there a spiritual truth here? Does God want us to live a full, adventurous life?............. Well? ............Does He?........
Absolutely! But............
What does it mean to live a full, adventurous Christian life. Now there's a question!
Here's my two cents: A full adventurous Christian life is one lived in relationship with Christ. As a result of that relationship, we will learn to trust him with everything. Maybe this is too simplistic, but then maybe we've made it too complicated. As my friend Shirley Ferrans used to say, "It's all about relationship".
God, please remind me, minute by minute of my need for you. Draw me closer. Make me more like You.

Wow, I have soo much to say about this post. First of all, I love Starbucks...a lot. Secondly, when I was there on monday I picked up a form that you can fill out and send in your own "The Way I See It" and hope it gets on a coffee cup. It's pretty sweet, and I'm pretty excited about it. Third, I wrote a paper on Christian living yesterday. Which is pretty ironic. Lastly, Shirley Ferrans was one of those amazing people, I miss her. I bet she never would have expected to end up on a blog. That's all.
p.s. I'm super excited that you started this blog!!
First, way to go on the BLOG - what's the proper grammar here? Should I say, good to blog WITH you? good to blog AT you? good to blog FOR you? Do we BLOG in? or on? Can't help myself. And yeh, I do enjoy a blog now and then.
Second, Christian ADVENTURE! Ditto to your thoughts , , , and here's mine - in the day-to-day grind of responsibilities and schedules, sometimes it's difficult or challenging to find the "adventure" and so, I wonder if the adventure isn't so much about an exotic location or physical challenge or unique opportunity or even, the once-in-a-lifetime experience as it is in the attitude or mindset (hmmm - "Mind of Christ"?) we as Christians have about "everyday" life. Do we see only the mundane and the monotonous? I'm reminded of something I heard recently that originated with G.K.Chesterton:
“[Children] often say, “Do it again”; and the grown up person does it again till he is nearly dead. For grown up people are not strong enough to exult in monotony. But perhaps, God is strong enough to exult in monotony. It is possible that God says every morning, “Do it again” to the sun; and every evening, “Do it again” to the moon. It may not be automatic necessity that makes all daisies alike; it may be that God makes each daisy separately, but never got tired of making them. It may be that he has the eternal appetite of infancy; for we have sinned and grown old, and our Father is younger than we.” G.K. Chesterton
So - I find myself wondering if we aren't constantly surrounded and immersed in GOD's ADVENTURE - for His CREATION - for our LIVES , , , and yet, we just do NOT see it - we do NOT recognize it. Dear Lord, give me new eyes to see, give me new ears to hear, give me faith , , ,
